introducing Dart
Dart is a location-based app that matches people with local events/people in real time.
The team brought machine learning algorithms to filter out redundant or irrelevant informations and learn user’s personal perfrences/needs.
Thought big data analysis, AI would learn to define user’s personality, preferences, and interests.
The goal was to connect people and space in real life.
relation of people and location
Most of us think locations are a kind of information.
We find the address, open google map, and check if we’ve arrived.
Assuming I want to find an open apartment in a nice neighborhood, the sooner the better. And I’m around that area often.
While we usually go to location. How many times we feel regretted about informations that come late?
Why can’t location comes to us when we happen to pass by?

my role
My friend came to me with AI technology.
We assumed our AI would remember user’s decision and learn user’s preferences though data analysis. Based on individual users’ needs, We planed to build a social event app and a news website.
My role was the bridge of users and programmers.
As a co-funder and UX designer, I planned features, made flows and wireframes, as well as coordinating with ui designers and programmers.
Our teammates located across different time zones, mostly from California, Taipei, and Seoul. We worked remotely everyday and skype every weekend.

Jenny, 25, a single young professional.
She just moved to a new neighborhood.
As a new comer, she is eager to explore the area.
But she gets off work late often.
It is difficult to plan in advance.
She used to schedule hot yoga group session with friends.
Now she lives far away from friends, she wants to meet new people.
She need an app to save her time and quickly match her with bunch of events and new local friends.
